Surveys & Primary Research
Many public and private organizations are regularly challenged by the task of effectively understanding their customers (or residents). Sound decision making depends upon the availability of accurate, dependable, relevant, and actionable market information. Well-executed research can provide this much needed information. CDS provides this service for our clients by expertly conducting online surveys, mailed surveys, phone surveys, public meetings, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews.
When conducting surveys and primary research, CDS attempts to discover one or all of the following:
- Learning about your clients/constituents/customers, both current and potential: What does their demographic profile look like? How many interested individuals/families are in your market(s)? Are your market(s) growing or declining?
- Learning about your competitors: How are they operating? What products are they selling? Who's buying their products? Which products/services are preferred: yours or theirs? And why?
- Learning about pricing and demand. What are clients/constituents/customers willing to pay for your products/services? Will they respond favorably to changes? Why or why not?
- Learning about the overall economic/business climate. What are the external factors that might impact your organization, both in the short and long term? What are the social implications for your organization's decisions?
